On River Street, in Savannah, stands the World War Two Memorial. This monument stands to honor the Veterans of World War Two from not only the Savannah area, but the country as a whole. If you walk up and down River Street, the monument is hard to miss. It looks like a giant earth, cut right down the middle. In this separation is where these panels are mounted with the names of the Veterans from the area.
With Pearl harbor Remembrance Day fast approaching, I thought it was appropriate to put a few photographs up showing the world this beautiful monument that Savannah has displayed. I will make sure to put another photographer of the monument online come December 7th.
The the background of the image you can see the Savannah River and the Talmadge Bridge.
